StrategyOne State-Level Barometers
StrategyOne has developed a methodology for identifying and surveying key policymakers and shapers at the state-level across the US. These individuals are identified as among the most affluent, educated, and media attentive residents of their state’s capital, and are further screened to ensure they are active in state politics and are currently or previously employed in:
- State or local government
- Political consultancies
- Political action committees
- Lobbying firms
- Non-profit organizations
The Austin Barometer
The Austin Barometer targets the most politically elite, influential, and engaged citizens living in Austin, TX and the immediate suburbs. It is built from reverse-directoried congressional staff lists, lobbyist registration lists, high dollar political donor files, and household wealth modeling in the wealthiest and most politically active Austin zip codes.
Respondents from our Austin Barometer panel are screened for engagement in the following activities:
- Live in the Austin area zip codes with the highest concentration of large dollar political contributors and congressional staff.
- Currently work or have worked in Congress, an Administration, the Judicial branch, A Federal Agency, The Pentagon, trade association, PAC, political consulting, Lobbying Firm, media, or multi-lateral NGO.
- Hold at least a 4-year college degree.
- Are heavy consumers of opinion elite media.
Standard surveys field to 200 Republicans and 200 Democrats, to ensure political balance. By targeting these select opinion leaders, we can monitor elite sentiment in and around Austin, TX.
The Austin Barometer allows our clients to:
